LEIGH ATHLETIC stepped to the four with a midweek double.
They beat Rochdale St Clements 4-2 and Accrington Amateurs 4-1 - taking their season's goal tally to 97 with 17 wins in their last 18 league matches.
At Rochdale Danny Wilson struck early, the home side quickly responding before Gordon Walker smacked in a penalty to restore the lead; Neil Sumner wrapped it up with two late goals.
At Accrington Athletic conceded an early goal, but refused to panic, taking their time to gain control.
Dave Stead equalised but back came Accrington on an isolated attack. Then Craig Little took charge with a terrific hat-trick, taking his season's tally to 40.
Athletic's final league game is on Saturday (2.30pm) when they face Lymm HSA at Charles Street.
ATHERTON COLLS needed a half-time pep talk from manager Alan Lord.
But it did the trick as they slammed relegated Holker OBs 4-1.
And former Ramsbottom player Luke Hardman was at the heart of the win, scoring a hat-trick of real quality.
Jason Holdroyd added the fourth.
Colls play their final league game of the season on Saturday at home to Kidsgrove Athletic.
LEIGH BOROUGH beat Dog & Partridge 2-1, Lumb and Prescott on target.
