TODAY'S election is the chance for the people of the district to find out the truth.
If they want to know how and why millions of pounds of their money have been thrown away and worse, all they have to do is make sure the people in power and their supporters are thrown out then perhaps we will have some answers to our questions. If people want to know the truth about Lancaster Market, what has happened to the millions and millions of pounds of regeneration funds and how a million and a half was spent on the old Winter Gardens when no one will say how the contract was awarded, then they must throw the leading group into the political dustbin.
If the people want to know how and why more than £2 million was thrown away on Blobbygate, and how the officers and councillors have managed to withhold answers for five years, then there must be a complete change at the town hall. I have mentioned only a fraction of the cock-ups and catastrophes overseen by the present shambles of an administration. The district has been taken for a ride for too long. Now is the time to do something about it.
Mike Ford, Silverdale.
