A NEW support group for suffering war veterans meets next week at Leigh Royal British Legion.
The Manchester branch of Handex UK is calling for a Military Vets Bill for all Gulf, Northern Ireland, Falklands and Bosnia vets.
The group, run by ex-servicemen and their partners, is inviting all troopers who have experienced problems since leaving the service after conflict to join them.
The aim is to offer mutual support and advice in the way vets have been treated through the ages from coming out of the service into civilian life.
Full confidientiality is promised in all matters.
Chairman Shaun Marsh said: "All veterans out there who know there is something not quite right, but just can't explain what it is, are invited to attend.
"They will no longer feel alone as a lot of our members feel exactly the same. That's what we are there for."
The next meeting is on Wednesday, May 12, at 7.30pm.
Anyone needing more information can contact Shaun or Mandy Marsh, secretary, on 0961 846809.
