IT was captaincy by example for two young cricketers from Lytham.
Tom Eastham, 15 and Jack Kellier, 13, are captains of their teams at King Edward VII School, Lytham.
Both hit unbeaten centuries in the first local derby of the season at home to Rossall.
Eastham from Breck Road, Poulton-le-Fylde, reached his first ever century in just 92 balls as he shared an unbroken partnership of 110 with Chris Roberts.
Tom remained undefeated on 117.
On the adjacent pitch U13s skipper Jack Kellier from Hove Road, St Annes, shared a big stand with Wesley Trusch and went on to a career best of 108 not out.
Andy Weston, head of PE at King Edwards, was impressed by the skill of the young batsmen and said: "The wickets were not the fastest after a wet week but both Tom and Jack combined sensible defence with calculated aggression.
"Each will regard their first century as a landmark."
