THANK you for explaining (Letters, April 19) what Nelson Mayor Colin Waite's party, Sub-Co-operative, stands for.
It was a revelation to me: him being secretary of the Pendle Branch of the North West and North Wales Co-operative Party.
But it's not much good to people living in Nelson - we've no Co-op stores and no free bus to take us to Leo's at Burnley.
Many people like me loved shopping at the Co-op grocers, loved their Indian Prince tea, and the Co-op cream crackers are second to none.
OLIVE SLATER (Mrs), Sussex Street, Nelson.
