LANCASHIRE Lynx boss Steve Hampson remains defiant in defeat, saying it will only take one win to get his troubled team back on track.
Monday saw Lynx crash to their eighth loss in the last 10, with the scoreline against Workington reading 38-24.
Hampson said: "We played some good football but we are making too many basic errors as well.
"From each of those errors, they seemed to score which made sure we remained on the back foot throughout. Certain people let us down."
He added: "We have no problem when it comes to scoring points but we just can't defend.
"We need a win to get us up and running and I am sure we will improve."
In fairness to Lynx, they have had their fair share of injury worries with Steve Gee, Simon Smith, John Donno and Dave Jones all out of action at the moment.
Hampson is currently trying to bring new players in - but the other rugby league sides have been less than helpful.
Leigh Centurions are demanding £1,000 for stand-off Shaun Geritas, a player currently on loan at Victory Park. He has impressed Hamspon during his loan spell.
