MP DAVID Chaytor, has been listening to the views of local engineers.
He met a group of engineering company bosses - all members of the Engineering Employers Federation (EEF) Lancashire - at Bury College.
The group stressed the importance of attracting and developing skills suitable for the industry and Mr Chaytor explained that the Government's current review of post-16 training education was intended to address weaknesses in the system.
The meeting was arranged by EEF Lancashire as part of a programme aimed at encouraging links between local groups and their MPs.
