WHO will be Ewood's player of the year? The award winner will probably be announced next week but, because of injuries, there are few real candidates.
A number of players have missed too many games to be considered, Garry Flitcroft and Billy McKinlay being prime examples. Others have managed only half a season through being signed late - like manager Brian Kidd's five major captures.
My personal choice would probably lie between central defender Stephane Henchoz and goalkeeper John Filan.
Henchoz has defied the pain from a groin injury for so long to help the team cause and has shown once again that he is a classy performer.
Filan claimed his place through injury to Tim Flowers and played so well the England man could not get back in the side.
As for the youngsters, David Dunn has made the biggest impression of the newcomers, with Damien Johnson also doing well.
THE Supporters' Association are staging a general knowledge quiz night in the Millennium Lounge next Thursday (8pm start). A maximum of five players will be allowed in a team and entry fee is £5 per team.
Entries can be registered in advance, which is preferable, either with Barbara Magee at the away travel counter, or via any member of the committee.
But entries will also be taken on the night.
ANY remaining seats for next Wednesday's home game against Manchester United (kick-off 8pm) were still on sale today but only to holders of a home League match ticket stub from one of this season's games.

FORMER Ewood boss Kenny Dalglish will grace the turf of the revamped Hampden Park later this month to mark the re-opening of the national stadium.
Scotland's most-capped international with 102 appearances to his name is certain to be the main attraction at the Queen's Park football festival on May 21.
Tickets for an all-star friendly between one team led by Dalglish and opposition captained by Rod Stewart will be distributed to schools.
TICKETS for the last Premiership game of the season at Newcastle tomorrow week (4pm) were on sale today only to season-ticket holders who also have a stub from the Southampton away match. From Monday, seats will be available to anyone who has either a season ticket OR a match stub from the Southampton away game.
Prices are £23 adults, £13 children. There are no concessions for senior citizens at St James' Park.
ROVERS Reserves finished their Pontin's League Premier Division programme with a creditable draw at Aston Villa this week.
Even though they have had to field very young sides over recent months, because of the continuing injury crisis, they have still managed to finish in mid-table and coach Terry Darracott is pleased by the way the kids have responded to the challenge.
THE Academy under-17 side were playing Manchester United away this morning (11am) in the semi-finals of the play-offs. The under-17 games are the only remaining fixtures at Academy level.
