LANCASHIRE will hand a senior debut to Atherton teenager Jonathan Fearick in the World Cup warm-up game against Scotland at Old Trafford on Monday.
Fearick, a shock selection on the England under-19 tour of New Zealand last winter, is still battling to earn a contract with Lancashire.
Peter Sleep will lead Lancashire with John Crawley taking a break, but there is still plenty of first team experience from the likes of Mike Watkinson and Graham Lloyd.
Crawley is expected to return, along with Glen Chapple, Peter Martin and Warren Hegg, for Lancashire's second World Cup warm-up match against Wasim Akram's Pakistan on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Lancashire's second team were frustrated by the weather in their first championship game of the season at Haslingden yesterday.
Set 322 to win by Glamorgan, they were well on course at 247-4, with Paddy McKeown hitting 83 and Gary Yates unbeatn on 84, when the heavens opened.
