LANCASHIRE Lynx are out to stop a run of six of the worst.
Last week's defeat by Workington was their sixth on the trot, but they did show promise of better things with stand off Neil Alexander and centre Darren Abram combining well.
Once again coach Steve Hampson is beset with selection problems. Darren Abram aggravated an ankle injury whilst Dave Murray, Neil Aelxander and Tommy Hodgkinson are all struggling after picking up knocks last Monday.
And Simon Smith is awaiting a visit to the specialist with a knee problem.
Swinton are one place above Lynx in the table with the same record of three wins and eight defeats from 11 games, but their points difference is far superior.
This week their coach Les Holliday resigned and he has been replaced by ex-Great Britain skipper Mike Gregory, who was Shaun McRae's assistant at St Helens last season.
One familiar face to Lynx fans is prop forward Steve Taylor who was part of Lynx's championship winning squad last season. They will also include ex-Salford prop Cliff Eccles who was expected to join Lynx in the close season before opting for Swinton.
Lynx will select from: Murray, Jones, Solomon, Abram, Parsley, Alexander, Flanagan, Norton, Bennett, Gildart, Geritas, Dave Smith, Hodgkinson, Prest, Guest, James, Walsh, Rushton, Campbell, Bisping.
