"UNBELIEVABLY brilliant" was how the first Cliviger Riding Club show of the year was hailed by the club's general secretary Linda Whittaker.
Towneley Park, Burnley, was a change of venue for the two-day event which attracted a large number of 'non-horse' people to view proceedings.
Linda added: "We had a record number of entries and a record number of members joining so early in the year. We had a fabulous standard of both horses and ponies."
On Saturday there was a qualifier for the British Show Ponies Society and yesterday it was the turn of the British Horse Society and Cliviger Riding Club's first points show.
Entrants came from Chester, Leeds, Cumbria and all over East Lancashire.
