FOUR students at Walshaw High School, Burnley have raised money to help elderly Kosovar refugees.
Lauren Ingham, Janine Singleton, Sheryl Barlow and Rebekah Shapcott, all from year 10, presented a cheque to Help the Aged.
They raised the £160 as part of their personal challenge project.
Form tutor Fiona Lowden said: "Lauren has been working voluntarily at the Help the Aged shop in Burnley as part of her community involvement and became aware of the plight of the elderly refugees.
"The girls decided to do something positive to help and held a raffle.
Area spokeswoman for Help the Aged Joanne McLeod said: "Their donation will enable us to buy basic equipment so desperately needed by the older refugees such as spectacles and vital medical drugs as well as making sure they have adequate clothing and bedding."
