STEPHANE Henchoz will step into the last-chance saloon tomorrow night, hoping that the pressure game will, for once, work in Blackburn Rovers' favour.
The Swiss defender looked in tears as he left the field at the end of Saturday's devastating defeat by Nottingham Forest.
But he is clinging to the hope that the pressure on Manchester United in the chase for the treble might tell as Rovers try to grab their last lingering chance of safety.
"Yes I was emotional, because I knew if we didn't win on Saturday we would be in very big trouble," he said.
"And this is the first time in my career I have been in this situation.
"Everybody knows that we have to win our two games and hope that Southampton do not win. So it is not in our hands.
"I always thought we would stay in the Premiership and we still have a small chance. But we have to be realistic and accept it will be very difficult.
"On Saturday we did not take our big chance once again. But the whole season has been disappointing.
"When we played Southampton, Charlton and Forest it was not easy because of the pressure. Tomorrow I think the pressure will be on Manchester United because everybody is saying Blackburn are down.
"But we still have a small chance and we have to play for our pride and do our best and show the fans that we are better than our position."
Henchoz won't talk about his own future until the end of the season. "In my head I am only thinking about trying to win these games."
