JOBS in the brewing industry were under threat as organised crime was set to cash in on imported beer, said an MP.
The outburst by Ribble Valley Tory Nigel Evans was directed at his own ministers as he demanded cuts in duty, prior to a Thwaites brewery visit by Tony Newton, leader of the House of Commons.
Mr Evans said the price of a pint should be cut by 20p to save jobs.
