ALL this season's issues were settled apart from one, that is the runners-up place in Division One.
This will be between Swan, Whalley and Accrington Sports and this arises due to Swan, Whalley being beaten 2-0 by Apeks, Lower Darwen this Sunday.
All other honours are confirmed - Heys Inn are Division One champions having beaten their nearest challengers by 11 points.
Division Two also sees a gap between first and second with the Royal Hotel crowned champions, eight points clear of EH Football. This week's 2-1 win by EH over Brownhill Arms confirms EH as runners-up with Brownhill Arms claiming third place. All these three will be promoted to Division One next season. In the tightest contest of the lot, Division Three seems Lomax Arms champions, just one point clear of
Clitheroe's Brown Cow. Lomax's 8-0 defeat of Bull's Head (Wilpshire) does prove them to be worthy champions. But the battle for second and third place was neck and neck until the final two matches in which Brown Cow beat Alma Inn twice by a 3-1 scoreline. Here again these three are promoted with possibly two other clubs.
Results - Division One: Swan, Whalley 0, Apeks, Lower Darwen 2.
Division Two: Brownhill Arms 1, EH Football 2; Calderstones 3, Ossy Hotspur 4.
Division Three: Alma Inn 1, Brown Cow 3; Lomax Arms 8, Wilpshire Bull's Head.
