BLOOD-sports have long been favoured by the ruling classes, especially by royalty and titled people.
The hunters of foxes say they must be kept down but, at the same time, take good care to keep up the supply of foxes by importing them into districts where they are scarce, just for the pleasure of hunting them to death.
The excitement of the hunt can be reproduced by the drag-hunt, which chases the scent without the fox.
If the leaders of society would set a better example, the days of this cruel sport would be numbered.
