EAST Lancashire schools had been put on alert following a new wave of hepatitis outbreaks, including eight cases in the Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale areas in two weeks.
At one Burnley school, parents had been sent warning leaflets following a case involving a pupil and hundreds of leaflets had been sent to schools and doctors.
