IN the Under 14s Cup Final, played at the home of Mill Hill St Peter's, the top two teams in the league shared six goals in normal time in a thrilling, fast-moving encounter.
Both sides enjoyed considerable spells of control and it took a last minute goal in extra time by Blackburn United to settle the match. Leroy Buckley of the victorious team was voted man of the match.
In the Under 18s Cup Final, held at the Old Blacks, Euxton Villa and Clitheroe FC were also locked at three goals each at the final whistle. In extra time the Ribble Valley side scored two quick goals while Euxton could only manage the one consolation. The man of the match was Ryan Dervish of Euxton Villa. This week Clitheroe play their final match and a win is required to complete the League and Cup double.
