Clarets youngster Paul Scott is continuing a remarkable Burnley footballing dynasty by being placed on stand-by for the England Schools under-15 squad.
The 14-year-old, who attends Burnley's school of excellence, is following in the footsteps of his brother Chris, father Derek and grandfather Brian Miller, who have all played for the Clarets.
Paul, a pupil at St Theodore's in Burnley, is on stand-by for a summer selection and development course at Lilleshall from which next season's England under-15 squad will be named.
The youngster is highly-rated at Turf Moor where youth coach Jimmy Robson is delighted to see him receive national recognition.
"He looks a very capable sort of player. He is very solid defensively with a good left foot. It runs in the family," said Robson.
Paul's 19-year-old brother Chris is a current member of the Burnley squad, having made his League debut this season. And they come from good stock with dad Derek chalking up over 350 appearances for the Turf Moor club and his father-in-law Brian having played 100 games more before twice managing Burnley in a 20-year assocation with the club. Brian's son David was also a Clarets player.
Striker Paul Barrett, another member of the Clarets school of excellence and a pupil at Ivy Bank School, has been called up to North-West Schools under-15 squad.
