I WAS disappointed to see (LET, May 7) the listing of local election candidates' results were tabulated in descending order of votes gained for all wards - except Whalley.
The impression could be gained that the last candidate was bottom of the poll. And since I was not, I would be grateful if next time you would check that, despite the odds in Whalley, to stand as a Labour candidate is not necessarily a foolhardy gesture.
NIAL MACFARLANE, (third in the Whalley poll), Shireburn Barn, Hurst Green.
Footnote: Sorry, we omitted to rearrange the order of candidates in the Whalley ward from the order in which they appeared on the voting form - Editor.
