-BREAKING faith with local people is the issue that has driven party politics out of power in the Lancaster district. Thank you to the people of Heysham North Ward for voting to put this Independent voice in Lancaster and Morecambe town hall. A special thanks to the people who said on the doorstep they were totally disillusioned with local politics but turned up to vote on the day.

Thanks also for the independent voice of The Citizen which brought us the news that other newspapers ignored.

There are two promises I can make as a Morecambe Bay Independent. Party politics will not keep me away from the meetings local people call. Party politics can not induce me to vote against any issue local people ask me to support. Simple promises, but promises broken time and again by local councillors.
