IN the past year paranoia at the town hall amongst senior officers about leaked information to the Press particularly your paper has reached silly levels.
I know having witnessed it first hand. Now that there has been a change I would expect that you might start to see more information released to you from town hall staff who are not happy with the way things are done but are too frightened of repercussions to say so publicly, after all we all have to pay the bills don't we? And don't tell us to use the whistleblower's policy all the staff here recognise that for what it really is.
Your paper has done well but there's a lot more to look at with regard to following procedures and best value for the local council tax payer. You must investigate further and the areas I have told you about earlier in this letter (withheld from publication) are a good place to start. I know your letters pages are avidly read over here at Dalton Square and I and others will be watching closely for future developments.
