AS the founder of the Greenmount Wild Bird Hospital, I would like to thank the true friends who have stayed with me through the past two difficult years, putting their efforts and their own resources into our combined action to save wild bird casualties. Thanks also go to friends in various trades who have offered extensive support. They are:
Mr John Taylor, Pet Shop, Bridge Street, Ramsbottom, a kind and true friend of 30 years' standing.
Mr Berry, Birdquest International, Plodder Lane, Bolton, who never fails to extend a helping hand.
Mr Jonathan Cundliffe of Chesbee, Radcliffe, who kindly helps, remembering the many happy Sunday afternoons spent visiting "bird characters" at the former Greenmount Wild Bird Sanctuary.
I must mention Mr Nigel Fowler and all the staff at the Three Owls Bird Sanctuary who, in friendly co-operation, helps when the treatment of wild bird casualties proves to be beyond our limited capacity.
