A LARGE consignment of goods for Kosovo left Burnley yesterday.
Sainsbury's provided a vehicle from their Middleton depot to take the goods including donations of food and items provided by the store staff and customers to the international aid depot at Leyland.
Burnley Sainsbury's store joined with the Red Cross in a cash collection with raised £857.
Deputy manager Les McGrae said: "We would like to thank our customers for their generosity.''
The goods had been stored at the Council for Voluntary Service new offices in Yorkshire Street.
