LANCASTER and Morecambe College's Men's Cross Country team are the National Champions. The team won the 21st BCS National Championships held at Witton Park in Blackburn recently.
The team which won the gruelling 7.5 km were Lee Siemaszko (who came 5th overall), Russell Parrington, Stuart Reid, Jimmy Madden, Michael Perkins and Barry McGuffog.
Course tutor Nick Milner says, "We are thrilled to win this competition. The team had already won the North West championship but to go on and win the whole National Championship is absolutely brilliant. It certainly puts Lancaster and Morecambe College on the map!"
