JIMMY Glass's remarkable relegation-sparing goal for Carlisle United came as no great surprise to Clarets winger Glen Little. Little was a young player with Glass at Crystal Palace and remembered the keeper's shooting prowess from training together.
Glass, who came out of goal to score the injury-time winner and keep Carlisle in the Football League, trained as an outfield player when he was recovering from two broken wrists.
The Swindon keeper was on loan at Carlisle and earlier in his career also had a loan spell at Turf Moor, without playing a senior game.
BURNLEY will know on Monday if there is a piece of silverware to put in the Turf Moor trophy cabinet after Tranmere have played their last game in the Lancashire League.
The Merseysiders will beat Burnley to the championship by virtue of their goal-scoring record if they take three points off Leek Town.
