PUPILS at Pleckgate High School took part in a sponsored skip and raised £1,100 for the British Heart Foundation.
All pupils and staff skipped for 10 minutes to music with one minute breaks after every three minutes.
Pupils Kimberley Counter and Adam Macneall, raised more than £50 each, and learning support assistant Pat Charnley raised more than £90.
A cheque was presented to representatives from the British Heart Foundation in school assembly.
Year head Michael Emery said: "The British Heart Foundation had the idea to have a skipathon, and we decided to get involved. We also took part in the skipathon last year, and raised more than £1,000. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, and pupils thought it was more fun than sitting in the classroom."
