CHILDREN from Blackburn will prove it is never too early to take an interest in the environment this week.
Members of the Tea-Time Club at Mill Hill Community Centre, New Chapel Street, Blackburn, will being picking up litter at Mill Hill Gardens this afternoon.
The children, aged from five to eight, hope to set a good example and encourage people to keep the area clean.
The centre will also be hosting a green-themed fancy dress party for under-fives.
Community development officer Linda Ryden said: "Everyone is welcome, the fancy dress party should be a very colourful affair and the youngsters are learning and leading by example about protecting our environment."
