GUTLESS, inept, passionless, words that too easily spring to mind about Blackburn Rovers this season.
The pinnacle was reached against Forest with a performance that was an insult to supporters.
They didn't even give 50 per cent effort to supporters who struggle to afford the admission ticket, but are prepared to work extra hours or do without because of their passion for Rovers.
The players should be ashamed of themselves for letting these people down.
I'm not talking about ability, but downright passion and heart displayed on the field as soon as that blue and white shirt is pulled on.
Jack Walker passion. Bryan Douglas passion. Simon Garner passion. Colin Hendry passion.
It hurts to see a club so fortunate to have Mr Walker's backing and commitment being repaid with so little effort.
Isn't it time to have pay related to performances?
What about structured additional payments made by either supporters or players depending on results. I'm sure most supporters would be more than willing to be the ones paying the additional.
