SNOOKER: Borough are struggling in the Darwen Snooker League knockout. Still reeling from a home defeat against Mill Gap, they crashed 5-2 away to Punch.
Borough, pipped by a point for the league title, should still qualify for the play-off stages but two defeats from three won't have done their confidence much good.
Champions Cemetery swept to a 7-0 win over Top Con A without being particularly impressive and knockout cup holders Top Con B won 6-1 away to Cemetery B for whom Tim Kenyon got the lone point.
Tonight: Anchor v Cem B, Top Con B v Top Con A, Cemetery A v Uncle Jack's, Punch v Alexandra B, Borough v Alexandra A, Mill Gap v Prince. Open: Top Con C.
