THIRTY three pupils at a Blackburn school have completed their literacy targets to earn reading rewards and certificates.
All children in year five at St Matthew's CE Primary School have spent the past month working through our Super Story Search workbooks both at school and at home, and report that they have thoroughly enjoyed the project.
"Not only has it improved reading skills", said class teacher Linda Sharp, "and been very useful in our literacy hour, it has also prepared pupils for producing our own newspaper to report on the school's Research Week."
The publication, written and produced by year five, will go to all parents with children in the school and their reports will also be carried in the church magazine.
