A BUSINESS enterprise to create 2,000 jobs in East Lancashire was relaunched.
London-based developers, and the regional industrial promotion agency, INWARD, briefed potential investors about plans for a 43-acre site in the Ribble Valley. Pilot Properties, of London, submitted plans for the former Barrow Printworks site. FIVE YEARS AGO: M65 'green' battle PROTESTERS took to the trees in the battle of the M65 extension.
Enviromental activists from Lancashire Earth First built tree-houses, slung hammocks from the trees and threw themselves in front of diggers to slow down construction work at the Cuerden Valley Nature Park.
