BOLTON gave their fans reason for heart failure last night before finally securing a place at Wembley in the Division One promotion play offs.
In a titanic tussle with Ipswich, Wanderers won through on the away goals rule, leaving Colin Todd lost for words.
The Bolton boss could hardly describe his emotions after a ding dong clash at Portman Road. Leading from the first leg at the Reebok Stadium, Wanderers found themselves trailing, courtesy of a goal from Matt Holland. Bob Taylor levelled before Kieran Dyer restored Ipswich's second leg lead.
Per Frandsen (84) looked to have booked Wanderers' Wembley ticket only for a last gasp header from Dyer to send the game into extra time.
Veteran Taylor bobbed up again and even a late Holland strike could not deter the determined Wanderers.
