WANTING a new summer skirt for a recent holiday, I bought a floral one from Marks and Spencers, renowned for quality.
It was very nice. However, when about to wash it for the first time, I noticed on the label inside: 'Made In Romania.'
I'm sure the cost of production would be nowhere near the £20 I paid.
I'm going to revert back to the market clothes; these are cheaper and most of them are made in England.
One thing for sure - I will always check the label before buying in future and try wherever possible to promote our own country.
