SPEED ACE Damien Hack helped England to a 93-85 win over Scotland in the Junior Cycle Speedway International.
The A&T rider won two races to score 15 out of a possible 20 points in Edinburgh.
At the interval England looked a beaten side, trailing by seven points, but turned the match round in the second half.
Team mate Lee Phillips had mixed fortunes on his England debut in a senior international. Coming in as reserve, he fell first time out but recovered to win his second race. Final score: England 54, Ireland 40, Wales 35, Scotland 30.
A&T is on the look-out for new riders. Anyone interested should attend Wednesday night training sessions at the Gin Pit headquarters.
Bikes and equipment are free to use. For more details contact team manager Martin Phillips on 01995 606786.
On Sunday the club hosts the British League Knockout Cup semi-finals and finals. Racing starts at noon; free admission.
