COUNT up that change and donate it to Rossendale Hospice is the request of the penny pinching appea.
Anyone who has collected change and not yet counted itt is invited to hand it in to the appeal when volunteers set up stall at the Asda store, Rawtenstall, next Friday.
TV comedian and local resident Ted Robbins will pop in to do his bit and encourage shoppers to part with their loose change. New penny pinching boxes are available at the appeal shop, opposite the fire station.
Appeals director Liz Nelson, said: "Each year Rossendale Hospice needs £250,000 if we are to carry on helping local people and their families.
"The good news is that if everyone in Rossendale gave us just one penny every day we would easily reach that goal."
