I WOULD like to thank the people of Carnforth for electing me to represent them as an Independent on Lancaster City Council. The warmth and generosity shown towards Julie and me by so many people, during and after the election, has been wonderful.

During the campaign we pledged to work for the benefit of local people and, now that the Independents are the largest group on the council, we can move into a new era where you, the electors, come before party loyalty and political point scoring.

I am now planning a regular surgery to keep in touch with local issues and to assist people in Carnforth who need the help of their local representative. Details will be publicised widely as soon as possible. In the meantime I can be contacted on 735677.
