A WINNING draw against South Shore III (115-5) was thin reward for St Annes IV (187-6) on a day when their two Nigels made a vast contribution to the Fylde League division 2 match.
The ever-dependable Nigel Bernstein batted for nearly the whole innings for a wonderful 77, receiving solid support from Roger Hughes, John Dougall, Jack Kelliher and Mick Auty.
Making his comeback after a long, debilitating illness, Nigel Connolly was soon into his stride with 21 not out and then deserved better than his figures of 2 for 12 in 8 overs suggested.
John Dougall proved an excellent deputy stumper and Roger Hughes capped an all-round show with a brilliant run-out.
