LANCASTER moved into the second round of the Vaux Samson Cup with a 31 runs victory over Blackpool at Lune Road.
Put in to bat, Lancaster reached 180 for five of their allotted 45 overs.
David Heywood and Brian Phillips featured in a 62 runs partnership for the third wicket before the former was caught by Marcus Sharp off third change bowler Jabir Namajee for 45.
Brian Phillips was dismissed for 47 on the last ball of the Lancaster innings.
He faced 64 balls and hit one six and two fours.
David Higham, at 52 years old, came out of retirement for Blackpool and took 2 for 31 from his permitted nine overs.
In reply, Blackpool lost an early wicket when opener Chris Cornall was caught by David Heywood off David Jolleys for five.
The main resistance for Blackpool came from David Bartholomew who remained undefeated with 65.
He batted 72 minutes and hit six fours.
Lancaster professional Raj Hans returned the superb analysis of 3 for 13 off his nine overs.
