E-DAY is just around the corner for Fylde folk and the atmosphere is electric.
From Monday (May 24) 110,000 homeowners in the region will be able to change their electricity supplier and shop around for the best deal.
To celebrate deregulation British Gas is offering Citizen readers the chance to win some exciting electrical goods.
The energy giant says homeowners can make great savings on their electricity bills by making the switch, guaranteeing cheaper prices than current suppliers until 2001.
And changing over is a hassle-free process. Area manager Julian Anderton explains: "Customers can sign up without having to change wires, cables or meters. The only difference they will notice are cheaper bills and a single point of contact for all their energy." British Gas - which also offers home security, air conditioning and appliance servicing - has set up a special hotline for people wanting to find out more on electricity savings and how competition will affect them. Call now on (0845) 604 2001.
And you could be a winner two times over. We are offering two prizes of £250 vouchers which can be spent at the British Gas Energy Centre in Church Street, Blackpool. You can choose anything from a hi-tech microwave to a new cooker.
To enter just tell us what year British Gas guarantees cheaper prices until. Send your answers to Gas Competition, Citizen Newsdesk, St Annes Buildings, Clifton Drive North, St Annes, FY8 2NA.
The sender of the first correct entry drawn on May 27 will receive the voucher.
