The looks on the faces of the fans said it all on Wednesday night as they watched the match on a screen at Deepdale.
More than 6,000 fans turned up at Deepdale to watch the match, pictured, and 1,300 travelled down to the Priestfield Stafdium to see the game.
And thanks to the 1-0 scoreline, there wasn't a smile in sight at Deepdale as the fans watched the end of Preston's promotion hopes.
But one thing is for sure - the fans will be back next season to cheer on Moyes' boys, and with a strengthened squad, automatic promotion now looks a good bet...
