NOT only are Lancashire Lynx allergic to winning, they are now facing a major injury crisis.
Lynx extended their losing streak to eight games after the 8-36 demolition by Workington Town away from home on Sunday.
And things aren't looking too good for the future, either.
Steve Hampson, the squad's coach, said: "We are down to the bare bones now.
"We took only 12 players to Workington and Doc Murray had to pull out shortly before the start with a shoulder injury."
In fact, things were so dire on Sunday that one of the players not selected was called on to the field as substitute after he decided to watch the match. Hampson said: "It was lucky Lee Rushton had gone to the game so we could call him in.
"However, Simon Smith picked up a knee injury and will be out for a while."
The loss of Smith means Hampson may struggle to even field a team next weekend when Batley arrive at Victory Park.
Reflecting on the game, Hampson added: "We didn't control the ball too well but there was a lot more commitment and effort.
"The half-backs did well and Dave Smith made some great tackles."
Hampson is now embarking on a scouting mission to bring in reinforcements to get Lynx back on track.
