GIGG Lane plays host to what promises to be a day to remember on Sunday as two of Rugby League's greatest rivals come head-to-head.
Swinton Lions entertain Oldham Roughyeds on a special day, in more ways than one.
As well as the history which surrounds the game, the Lions are hoping to boost Manchester Children's Hospital by donating proceeds from advance ticket sales.
The club is appealing to fans to back the big day.
Development manager John Prince said: "Both Swinton and Oldham have lost a lot of supporters in recent years since they were forced to sell their grounds.
"We appeal to those floating fans to come down and watch what will be a cracker. There is a real depth of support for both clubs out there."
Twenty five of the hospital's long term ill children will be brought to the game as special guests for a real family day out.
A host of activities are taking place, starting at 1.30pm with the schools rugby finals, a fancy dress contest, clowns, face painting and lots more.
The match itself kicks off at 3pm.
Coach Mike Gregory will be hoping to see a further improvement in his side.
The Lions thrashed Lancashire Lynx in his first match in charge but were pipped 15-14 at home to Keighley Cougars on Sunday.
