A LAW firm has launched a new serious crime department.
Farleys has set up the specialist unit to deal with major cases such as murder, commercial fraud and conspiracy to supply drugs.
"We have attracted more and more serious and complex cases as time has gone on," said partner Paul Schofield, who together with Andrew Church-Taylor will head up the unit.
"In order to ensure the highest level of case preparation we have decided to separate them from the mainstream work."
New offices are being established on King William Street to house the unit which will service the firm's offices in Blackburn, Accrington and Burnley.
