FORMER Saints skipper Bobbie Goulding has been ordered to carry out 240 hours community service and pay more than £3,200 in costs and compensation after admitting attacking two men during a row over a taxi.
A jury at Chester Crown Court was told that 26-year-old Goulding, who lives in Whiston and now plays for Huddersfield Gaints, had inflicted grievous bodily harm on Darren Shaw and assaulted Wesley Brown. The incident took place in Warrington in August, last year.
Former Rugby League player John Ruane (35) of Widnes, who pleaded guilty to assaulting Wesley Brown, was ordered to do 180 hours community service and pay £872 compensation.
