EUROVISION fever is coming to town with the UK's hopes of glory in Jerusalem resting on the shoulders of Prestwich singer Jennifer Frost.
Bookmakers have her all-girl band, Precious, favourites to win the contest on May 29. The band are also keeping a close eye on their first single, Say it Again, released on Monday.
Jennifer (20), who used to pull pints in the Grapes pub, Bury New Road - her home since the age of six - said: "It is absolutely hectic and we are really busy but we are really confident with the song."
She maintained there was no danger of Precious suffering from the "Eurovision curse" and added: "We are far too cool for that. There is a long future for Precious and we are not just about Eurovision."
Proud parents David and Rita will be in the audience in Jerusalem to cheer on the former model. David said: "I can't wait. I have never been to Jerusalem before and my wife is very excited about it.
"It has all happened very quickly. They formed last year and have worked hard and I am hoping everything will work out for them. I will be putting a bet on them to win!"
