POLICE have are appealing to members of the public to help them trace a teenage girl who stole a 79-year-old woman's handbag as she tended to a grave.
The pensioner was at a graveside in St James Church, Church Road, Haydock, at about 10am on Saturday, May 15, when the thief walked up to her and stole her handbag containing £40 cash.
The thief is described as white, aged about 17 years with a slim build and th short, straight blonde hair. She was wearing a black leather jacket with square stitching and dark trousers.
