Lancashire Lynx 28pts Batley Bulldogs 47
LANCASHIRE Lynx slipped to yet another defeat against Batley in an entertaining encounter at Victory Park.
Once again defensive lapses cost Lynx dear in a game which they could have won.
One man who didn't deserve to be on the losing side was stand off Neil Alexander who score four of Lynx's five tries. After the game coach Steve Hampson was more upbeat than in previous weeks. He said: "We can take many positives out of the game, the performance of Neil Alexander showed that he is improving with every game as he gets more accustomed with our pattern of play.
"Also David Jones gave a stirring performance in his first game back after knee surgery." On the negative side however, he said: "Once again our defence out wide was poor, presenting Batley with too many easy tries. This will be worked on during the week and hopefully I will be able to bring new players to help resolve the problems."
