YOU report (LET, May 13) the return of farmers' markets in Colne.
The producers who are organising them deserve credit for this initiative to market British food better and to emphasise the quality which is there, even if often unrecognised. It can only do good in this time of depressed farm incomes.
Of course, one of the things that would do most to help farmers' incomes would be for Britain to adopt the new euro currency which would have the effect of increasing the sterling value of EU payments to farmers and reducing food imports. That is what the new Pro Euro Conservative Party advocates.
