DANCE for justice is the invitation next month, as money is raised for the Christopher Alder Campaign.
Christopher, 37, died in police custody in Hull a year ago. His sister, Janet, from the Manchester Road area of Burnley, is appealing for the police officers on duty that day to face criminal charges. She is still waiting for the outcome of a meeting at the Crown Prosecution Service held last week.
On June 5 there will be a fund-raising dance to raise cash for the campaign at the Comfort Inn, Burnley, from 9pm to 2am.
East Lancashire band Red Fanny have joined forces with the Justice for Christopher Alder Campaign to organise the event, which will feature The Mayhem Abduction Unit, Hannibal Hayes, dance group Gecho and DJ Pigeon. The evening will be brought to a close by Sasquash and the Operation Sound System.
There will also be guest jugglers from Circus Space.
Tickets, £4 in advance, £5 on the door, are available from Reidys, Blackburn and Burnley shops Solid Sounds and Astonishing Sounds.
